I had the opportunity to browse through the book Readings in Information Visualization: Using Vision to Think. I could not put it down. It’s a big book, hard to find and impossible to put down once you start looking at it. Use the link above to find a used copy. You are correct – I’m enthralled. I like to see data presented in non-standard (meaning pie chart, bar chart) formats. I think it’s difficult to think that way – plus not all of the tools available (Excel comes to mind first) really allow some of these fancy, mind bending charts. Where’s my magic markers?
