Dashboard Spy readers have persuaded me to start publishing some of my “secret” pdf links. During discussions about key business intelligence topics such as BI vendor evaluations, reporting package reviews, and other subjects of interest to the IT Executive and Business User community, I often will give out links to very helpful, but also very-hard-to-find resources. These links tend to be for vendor landscape documents, product evaluations, technology landscape reviews and other such high-value deliverables.
While sold for very high prices by business and IT consulting groups, these business intelligence resources are then very often offered by the purchasing companies as free resources to their clients. Enterprise ETL Vendor Review 2nd Quarter 2007 by Forrester – IBM and Informatica maintain their leadership positions in the enterprise extract, transform and load (ETL) space. Business Objects and Oracle were named as emerging leaders. Other vendors mentioned were SAS, Ab Initio, iWay Software, Microsoft, Pervasive and Sunopsis.
Enterprise CRM Suites for Financial Services 1st Quarter 2007 by Forrester – A review of leading customer relationship management (CRM) suites for financial services companies. These packages feature pre-built processes for financial services institutions. Top vendors and packages identified are Oracle’s Siebel CRM and SAP’s mySAP CRM (both noted as clear leaders). Other CRM vendors/packages of note are Oracle’s Siebel CRM on Demand, Oracle’s PeopleSoft CRM and salesforce.com.
Midmarket CRM Suites 1st Quarter 2007 by Forrester – The Midmarket continues to be a hotbed of buyer and vendor CRM activity. This report ranks midmarket customer relationship management suites vendors across 490 criteria and found the leaders to be RightNow Technologies, Oracle, salesforce.com and Microsoft. Other vendors offerings include open source SugarCRM’s Sugar Enterprise, Microsoft’s Dynamics CRM, CDC Software’s Pivotal CRM and Maximizer Software’s Maximizer Enterprise.
Enterprise Marketing Platforms Vendor Summary Q1 2006 – The leader in the enterprise marketing platform category is SAS with their Customer Intelligence suite. It was noted as particularly strong in their handling of Marketing Automation, Marketing Optimization and Interaction Management.
